This rug is one of the most beautiful pictorial rugs of kashan depicting one of stories of " khamseh " ( quintet ) of nezami. It can certainly be said that after shah - nameh ( book of kings ) this book had the most influence in Persian pictorial carpets. The light coloured field of this rug depicts horse riders and bahram - e - gour, in the background of the city, while a man is beheading a hunt wounded by an arrow .
in this rug the scientific rules of perspective are not considered at all, and for showing the distances just the mutifs have been drown up and down.
The main border of the rug has cartouches inscribed with some poems from nezami -e - ganjavi.
